MedSoc Video 2020/21
I want to start off by saying, on behalf of the MedSoc Committee, a HUGE congratulations for making it into Plymouth and the Peninsula school of Medicine and Dentistry! This is a fantastic achievement and you should be proud that all your hard work to get to this point has paid off!
Here at MedSoc, we aim to provide assistance to our members in a number of ways to help support your wellbeing. We do this by providing academic teaches, socials, a range of sporting activities as well as holding events, which include conferences and balls! Of course, the current pandemic has meant that freshers week and other activities planned for this academic year will have to be slightly adapted to ensure that we adhere to both government and university guidelines. However, I can assure you that the committee and I are working hard to ensure that you have the best experience possible!
In the meantime, I encourage you to have a read through the MedSoc Freshers booklet to gain a better understanding of what MedSoc provides and what is on offer. I'd also strongly advise that you fill out the questionnaire opposite as this helps us place you into our family system, allowing you to access advice and support from second years! By doing this questionnaire, you will be placed with "parents" and "siblings" who are best suited to you.
Stay safe, stay healthy and keep a look out on our socials and this website for further information with regards to freshers!
The committee and I are very much looking forward to meeting you soon!
