  • Football (Womens)

We are a social girls’ football team open to all abilities, from complete novice to semi-pro! We train weekly at a local park. Training sessions are fun, relaxed, and a good way to destress, have a laugh and kick some balls around.
Last year, we played in the NAMs football tournament in Nottingham. Although we didn’t win any matches, we came away with a draw and a goal and so we class it as a success! We are looking forward to next year!

We have regular events, weekly training sessions and nights out and are hoping to organise friendly matches throughout the year.

  • Peninsula Golf

Whether you’ve been playing golf for years or have never touched a club, now is the time to try out golf! As you’re all going to be doctors you’re going to need to learn how to play golf and this is the perfect opportunity! We have a whole range of abilities that play and we organise regular lessons at the China Fleet Country Club and rounds for our members. If you have any questions send Sam Couch or Gregor Abercromby a message. Looking forward to seeing you all on the course!

We meet on Saturday mornings at 10/11 every fortnight for a lesson with a local pro. We will also be doing rounds of golf later in the year which will be as regularly as the members request them to be. We also hold regular social events every term with the other sports societies to help you meet everyone at the medical school.
